Fees / Published, not negotiated
What it costs, before you ask.
A name is a one-time purchase, so the terms around it should be simple. These apply to every client. If anything about your file would change them, you hear it at the fit stage.

Third parties / Costs outside our fee
Escrow and registrar costs.
- Escrow. The escrow service charges a percentage of the price that falls as the amount rises. On names we hold, we pay half. On represented purchases, the split is part of the agreement with the seller, and we ask for half on your behalf.
- Transfer. Most registrars add a year of registration when a name moves in, at their normal renewal rate.
- Payment method. Wires carry your bank’s fee. Card payments, where escrow allows them, carry a card surcharge.
- Sales tax. Domain name purchases are generally not taxed as goods, but your accountant has the last word.
What we never charge
- A listing, research or “opening” fee.
- A monthly retainer while an owner thinks it over.
- A fee to the other side of the same deal. We act for one party per transaction.
